About Salt Strength Classes

CrossFit Classes

Each class begins with a warm-up and mobility followed by the strength focus of the day (squat, deadlift, clean & jerk etc) After a solid strength portion we always finish with a Workout of the day (WOD) to really ramp up those fitness levels. If you are new to this kind of training you won’t be thrown in the deep end and all movements can be scaled to suit your body and abilities.

Our awesome programming is done by our good friends from New Zealand at Renegade Performance (CrossFit East Tamaki). These guys have sent many individuals and teams athletes to compete at the CrossFit Games and provide world class programming.

Open Gym

If you prefer training yourself or can’t always make the class times, we have 3 program options available to you. The class program, BUILD and Cardio Club. BUILD is a great addition to our CrossFit classes for accessory work or can be done as a stand-alone program. BUILD is purely strength based usually starting with a major focus lift (squat, bench, strict press etc) followed by super sets of supporting accessory exercises. Often tempo is used to build strength throughout the full range of movement, and it keeps things interesting. Although there is no WOD at the end of the class it’s still a solid workout. Cardio Club is pretty self-explanatory, 40 minute cardio sweat sesh.

Social Saturday Class

Saturday morning workouts are generally a partner workout, the perfect time to bring a friend along or team up with another member on the day. Always a fun time, these workouts are a bit more social than our weekly classes.
